Daffodil Days return as American Cancer Society spring fundraiser
The American Cancer Society has announced its annual spring fundraiser, Daffodil Days.
The colorful first flower of spring represents a campaign to bring hope to cancer patients and those affected by the disease, the nonprofit states.
Funds raised through sales help support groundbreaking research, patient services and other cancer society programs.
Supporters can contribute $10 for a bunch of daffodils, $15 for a pot of mini daffodils, or make a $25 donation to instead support the Gift of Hope program, in which volunteers deliver daffodils to local hospitals.
Individuals and organizations also can order bouquets and pots of daffodils to sell and fund-raise.
Orders must be received by Feb. 18. The flowers will be available for pick-up from various regional locations throughout southwestern Pennsylvania during the week of March 18.
