5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: June 4-6
Grab your sunscreen. It’s going to be a summer-like weekend with temperatures in the 80s. Here are some ways to spend it.
Take pride
Pittsburgh Pride Group will be hosting virtual and in-person events this weekend.
The “Pittsburgh Pride Revolution March” begins at noon on Saturday in front of the City-County Building on Grant Street, Downtown.
Attendees may bring signs, banners and flags, and can play music. They will need to wear face masks.
The route will finish on the North Side at the Allegheny Commons West Park site on the first day of the mini-festival, which runs until 6 p.m. There will be food trucks and musical performances.
On Sunday, the second day of the mini-festival, events will be from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. outside Trace Brewing on Main Street in Bloomfield. There will be entertainment, food and face painting.

Arts Festival
The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts returns with some in-person events starting Friday through next weekend after a virtual event in 2020.
With the outdoor capacity restrictions lifted, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which hosts the event, said it will be similar to previous festivals.
The main stage will be in Point State Park as will the food vendors. The Artist Market booths, which feature more than 150 independent artists selling a range of handmade items, will be located in Point State Park, the Benedum Lot, Trust Oasis and the Allegheny Overlook Pop-Up Park.
Dance and music performances will be held throughout each day of the festival at one of several stages.

Go green
Pittsburgh Earth Day is celebrating World Environment Day with “Go Green: A Free, Outdoor Concert and Community Festival” in Market Square, Downtown.
Pittsburgh Earth Day is an organization that educates about sustainability.
The free concerts are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
There will be live music, activities and businesses sharing information about sustainable living.
The Bindley Hardware Company is the headliner at 6 p.m. Friday. The Clinton Clegg Trio will headline at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The lineup includes Tres Lads, Nina Sainato, DJ Jess, Pastor Deryck Tines and the Lemington Gospel Choir, Scott Blasey, and Jeff Jimerson
On Saturday, Royal Haunts kicks off the day followed by Pablito Uri, The Wurms, Zoob, and The Nox Boys.

Picnic in your park
The second annual “Picnic in Your Park,” the annual Spring Hat Luncheon reimagined, is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Schenley Park. The event benefits the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy
People are invited to bring a picnic basket to the park.
There will be strolling entertainers, acrobats, a one-man-band, treats and blossoms to-go.
Guests are asked to wear a hat as nod to the annual Spring Hat Luncheon, which wasn’t held the past two years because of the pandemic.

Laugh out loud
The Pittsburgh Improv in Homestead returns with Dan Soder on Friday and Saturday.
The New York-based comedian and actor is best known as Mafee on the hit series “Billions” on Showtime. His first HBO comedy special, “Son of a Gary,” premiered in December 2019 and “The Standups” on Netflix in 2017. He’s been on Comedy Central, Conan, Inside Amy Schumer, and @midnight. Soder hosts Sirius XM’s “The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson,” every Monday through Thursday.
