From racing to runways to reggae, there’s something for everyone to do this weekend in the Pittsburgh area.
Moto madness
MotoAmerica Superbikes at Pittsburgh is planned for 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Pittsburgh International Race Complex at 201 Penndale Road, Wampum, Lawrence County.
MotoAmerica is the North American road racing series created in 2014 that is home to the AMA Superbike Championship.
Three-day general admission tickets are $80, with Friday-only admission for $25, and Saturday and Sunday only admission for $60. Veterans and active duty military members receive discounts.

Hands-on science
Dig in to a day of hands-on science experiments during MessFest, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday8 at the Carnegie Science Center at 1 Allegheny Ave. in Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
Visitors can explore the science of surface tension by making giant bubbles, build a contraption to protect an egg from a 16-foot drop, create Super Soaker graffiti art, test hand-eye coordination at the Science Dunk Tank, make slime, smash strawberries and use chemistry to extract DNA and create an exothermic reaction with the classic elephant toothpaste experiment.
Tickets are $20, $15 for ages 65 and older or $12 for ages 3-12. Advance online ticket purchase is strongly recommended at carnegiesciencecenter.org.
Fashion forward
Style Week Pittsburgh returns this weekend, after a two-year hiatus, including these three events showcasing local fashion and creative talent:
• KULTURE Fashion Show, 7 p. m. Friday at Studio Atelier, 6025 Penn Ave. Event includes a designer showcase, vendors, a Vogue performance and dance party with sounds by DJ Cue.
• The Style Awards, 7 p.m. Saturday at Emerald City, 213 Smithfield St. Awards will 26 recognize businesses, creative professionals and organizations for their outstanding achievements and impact on the region.
• Business of Fashion Brunch, 1 p.m. Sunday at Emerald City. Program will include information on critical social media marketing and branding tips, how to become a published author and resources available to support creative entrepreneurs and businesses. Keynote presenter will be author, educator and designer Lesley Ware, founder of “Art to Ware,” a socially conscious pop-up shop that sells reworked and one-of-a-kind garments by independent designers.

Roots, rock, reggae
Rock Reggae & Relief 2022 will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Forbes Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.
The all-day musical slate will culminate with a 7:45 p.m. performance by UB40, followed by the Original Wailers at 9:30 p.m. An after-party at Revel will feature Roots of Creation.
The event is hosted annually by the Piatt Family Foundation This year’s proceeds will benefit Café Momentum Pittsburgh, an award-winning restaurant and culinary training facility that helps young people involved in the juvenile justice system with life skills, education and employment opportunities.

Hartwood concert
Michael Franti & Spearhead will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater at 4070 Middle Road.
The band blends hip-hop with other musical styles including reggae, jazz, folk and rock. Also a poet, political and social activist and documentarian, Franti’s other musical projects have included the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.
Special guest for the concert will be the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group, Arrested Development.
The free performance takes place rain or shine as part of the Allegheny County summer concert series. Food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m.
