Yuengling and Hershey’s have teamed up to make Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter, a limited edition beer available only on tap.

In a match made in Keystone State heaven, Pottsville-based Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the United States, and Hershey’s, one of the nation’s oldest chocolate companies, have teamed up to make a chocolate porter beer.

Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter will be available starting in October and available only on draft. It will be sold in much of Yuengling’s distribution area, including Pennsylvania, of course, as well as 13 other states. The company said it wanted people to experience this once-in-a-lifetime collaboration freshly from the tap.

The beer is in limited release and is expected to be available until February. Find out where you can get a glass on Yuengling’s website.

For Yuengling’s first collaboration in its 190-year history, the company decided to use its Dark Brewed Porter beer as the basis of the collaboration and team up with Hershey to add a subtle chocolate twist to the beer. This is Hershey’s first beer.

Yuengling said, “This first-ever collaboration for Yuengling combines the classic taste of Yuengling’s Porter with the unmistakable taste of Hershey’s chocolate to create a deliciously unique and smooth porter with hints of roasted malts and a rich chocolate finish.”

The beer is described as smooth, rich and chocolatey and has a ABV of 4.7%.

Could this be the first of many collaborations for the brand? The company was coy and said on its website that fans will have to stay tuned.
