Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse and Whiskey Garden will hold a season opening party and fundraiser, introducing a new release and holding a pooch parade.

A portion of the evening’s bar and bottle sales will benefit Humane Animal Rescue.

The annual opening party and release of Madeira bourbon will be held from 5-10 p.m. April 19 at the 1055 Spring Garden Ave., Pittsburgh, site.

Visitors can sample whiskey straight from the cask, enjoy food from the Gaucho Parrilla Argentina food truck and listen to live music by the Tim Vitullo Band from 7-9 p.m.

The evening also will feature the roll-out of new summer cocktails and samples from Penn Brewery and Threadbare Cider and Mead, according to a Wigle release.

A Pooch Parade will begin at 6 p.m. at Threadbare Cider, inspired by the whiskey-toting dogs leading trekkers through the Alpine Pass.

Wigle and Humane Animal Rescue staff dogs will lead off the parade, with those attending invited to dress up their own dogs and march along.

Tickets are $20.
