A Twitter user suggested Ranch Pop-Tarts earlier this week.

As Little Debbie’s Twitter feed put it, “There are times when people need to be saved from themselves.”

That time was earlier this week, when a Twitter user’s suggestion that Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing and Pop-Tarts team up gained far too much traction on the social-media platform.

Far be it from the folks at Hidden Valley to challenge the notion that you can put ranch on anything.

Hey @PopTartsUS - let's have some fun and give the the people what they want ? https://t.co/ULZrNEvUnG

Reaction was swift and merciless from across the Twitterverse.

I love ranch, and i love pop tarts, but this ain’t it chief.

This was our personal reaction.

And then, after we thought about it for a minute … No, we still felt the same way.

And while there was the occasional supporter…

I want @MiracleWhip on that ...

Many Twitter users wisely chose to immediately try and wipe the thought from their minds.

Here this can get your mind off that awful picture of ranch pop tarts! Breakfast with a view! pic.twitter.com/0UvguceKA8

Luckily for all of us — and possibly for mankind in general — Pop-Tarts and their parent company Kellogg had their wits about them, tweeting “lol no” back at the Hidden Valley folks.
