Superior Motors will host a “Night + Day” dinner featuring a six-course meal of nightshade vegetables paired with wines by Brianne Day of Day Wines in Willamette Valley, Oregon.

The special menu will be offered Oct. 13 at the restaurant at 1211 Braddock Ave., Braddock.

According to a release, Day has garnered many accolades for her Oregon wines since starting Day Wines in 2012. Day Wines distributes more than 5,000 cases to more than 12 states and three countries.

“I think that the spice levels of the different nightshades will complement the wines that were selected,” Day says in the release.

“In particular, I’m looking forward to matching up the textures of the wines with the fall vegetables and proteins,” she adds.

Nightshade fruits and vegetables are a broad group of plants from the solanum and capsicum families. Diners can expect primarily peppers (not super spicy) in each course; other nightshades could include tomatoes, eggplant and certain types of berries.

A vegan menu option is available as well.

Tickets are $85, with optional wine pairings, $55, or spirit-free pairings, $30.
