Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to curate cocktails at the Benedum
With the philosophy that every drink has a story, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will conduct its second annual “Cultured Cocktails” event from 8-10 p.m. May 4 at the Benedum Center.
Guests can imbibe as they walk through time, exploring the histories behind their favorite drinks and spirits.
According to acrobatiquecreative.com, mixologists Mikey Mills and Stevie P of Liquid Flair, along with local bartenders, will craft signature cocktails at the venue at Seventh Street and Penn Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.
Drink samples will be paired with food selections prepared by Pittsburgh restaurants, including Braddock’s Rebellion, Bridges & Bourbon, Burn by Rock Patel, The Commoner, Con Alma, Eddie Merlot’s, Monterey Bay Fish Grotto, Or, The Whale, Scratch F & B, The Warren and Yuzu Kitchen.
Miss Thea Trix will host a pop-up drag queen photo booth with costume items from Eons Fashion Antique. Pittsburgh native Mia Z will provide live music throughout the night.
General admission tickets are $45; designated driver tickets are $25.
VIP tickets (with doors opening at 7 p.m.) are $95 and include early access, a champagne and bubbly bar, exclusive food offerings from Con Alma, desserts from Capital Grille and exclusive live performances from John Shannon Con Alma Quintet.
