Olive Garden offering a lifetime pasta pass

Olive Garden’s pasta pass promotion is coming back and will offer a supersize option.

On Thursday at 2 p.m. ET the restaurant chain is releasing its Never Ending Pasta Pass for $100 (plus tax), as it has for several years. There will be only 24,000 passes available for 30 minutes or until they sell out at www.PastaPass.com.

The pass entitles the bearer to unlimited servings of pastas, sauces and toppings, along with, of course, unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. The pass is good for 9 weeks from Sept. 23 to Nov. 24 for dine-in only (no take-out or online orders).

New this year, for diners who do get a pass, they will have an opportunity of a lifetime… literally.

Those who secure a pasta pass will have an option to upgrade to the Lifetime Pasta Pass, which gets the passholder pasta for life. The company is offering 50 lifetime passes, which will cost an additional $400 (plus tax).

Last year the restaurant offered an Annual Pasta Pass.

“Olive Garden has always been known for Italian generosity and making everyone feel like family, which is why we introduced our Pasta Pass five years ago,” said Jennifer Arguello, executive vice president of marketing for Olive Garden, in a press release, according to Fox News.

“With the introduction of our new Lifetime Pasta Pass, we’re excited to be a part of our biggest fans’ memories around the table for years to come.”

Fox News reported the company said the lifetime pass would be paid off by the 45th pasta bowl.
