Oakmont Olive Oil Co. will host Diamantis Pierrakos of the award-winning Laconiko Olive Oil Co. on April 6 for a meet and greet, including educational sessions and a guided olive oil tasting.
Laconiko Olive Oil Co. produces the extra virgin olive oils at its owners’ estate in Peloponnese, Greece. Laconiko Olive Oil has won awards at international competitions three years in a row — 2016, 2017 and 2018 — according to a release.
A climate close to the ocean and nestled between mountain ranges is one factor giving Laconiko products their flavors and aromas. Laconiko Products have been perfected over four generations and are still produced using traditional means, the release adds.
Pierrakos, one of the company’s owner/operators, will lead the event, with sessions at noon and 3 p.m.
“We are so excited to have Diamantis joining us in the store. His knowledge and experience with these products is simply incredible,” says Sharon Carroll, Oakmont Olive Oil Co. owner.
