Good Food Pittsburgh and a519 Chocolate collaborate on Valentine’s chocolates.

A collaboration between Good Food Pittsburgh and Millvale’s a519 Chocolate makes for a “hometown” Valentine’s Day chocolate box of truffles featuring some flavorful Pittsburgh businesses.

The 15-piece edition includes the following flavors, among what might best be described as decadent:

• Burnt Almond Torte, inspired by Pittsburgh’s (and Greensburg’s) Prantl’s Bakery, this truffle features homemade marzipan with a smooth and creamy Dulcey ganache;

• Roasted Pecan/Bourbon/Maple Sugar, made with Pennsylvania bourbon from Pittsburgh’s Wigle Whiskey, maple syrup from Potter County’s Paul Family Farms, and roasted pecans;

• Cherry Balsamic, sweet cherries paired with a hint of balsamic;

• Red Wine, Pittsburgh Winery zinfandel-infused 70-percent dark chocolate ganache;

•Vanilla Bean Custard, creamy vanilla bean custard enveloped in white chocolate.

Only 50 of the $35 boxes will be sold.
