Target, Kohl’s and CVS have now added themselves to the list of stores requiring customers to wear a mask while shopping there.

Target and CVS joined in on Thursday, while Kohl’s announced their news Wednesday.

USA Today reports Target’s mask requirement will go into effect Aug. 1. The policy does not apply to “those with underlying medical conditions and young children.”

Target said it would provide disposable masks at store entrances for those who do not have them.

CVS announced its policy on social media: “With the recent spike in covid-19 infections, we’re joining others in taking the next step and requiring all customers to wear face coverings when entering any of our stores throughout the country effective Monday, July 20,” CVS said in a tweet.

At Kohl’s, the order will also begin July 20.

“As covid-19 cases continue to rise,” Kohl’s said in a statement, “face covering mandates have grown to apply to approximately 70% of our store base, therefore we’ve made the decision to take a consistent approach across our entire store fleet.”

Kohl’s Western Pennsylvania locations include North Huntingdon, Monroeville, Monaca, West Mifflin, Bethel Park, Richland, Cranberry, Robinson and Washington, Pa.

At Kohl’s, associate greeters will be placed at the entrance of each store to welcome shoppers and remind them to wear masks.

For customers who prefer not to wear a mask, the company encourages them to shop online at Kohls.com or use the stores’ limited-contact Store Drive Up service.

“Our associates have been, and will continue to be, required to wear masks while working in our stores,” the company said. “(Kohl’s) considers health and safety a top priority.”

The three stores join a growing list of other retailers required masks chainwide, including American Eagle/Aerie, Apple stores, Best Buy, Costco, Dollar Tree, Fresh Market, Starbucks, Walgreens, Walmart and Whole Foods.
