The top 16 country concerts coming to Pittsburgh in 2023
With tours from legends to up-and-comers, Pittsburgh country music fans will have plenty of opportunities to bust out their cowboy boots and hats this year.
In June, the city will have four straight nights of concerts, two from Morgan Wallen at PNC Park followed by two nights of Taylor Swift at Acrisure Stadium.
Here’s a look at what’s on tap this year:
Feb. 25: Carrie Underwood
Former “American Idol” champ and multiple Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood brings the second leg of her Denim & Rhinestones Tour to PPG Paints Arena. Jimmie Allen will open the show.

March 12: Oak Ridge Boys
The Oak Ridge Boys return to their regular stomping grounds when they visit Western Pennsylvania, visiting the Palace Theatre for an afternoon show on their Front Porch Singin’ Tour.

March 18: Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini brings her Heartfirst Tour to Stage AE, joined by Georgia Webster.
Best-known song: “Peter Pan”
May 12: Brooks & Dunn
Top-selling country music duo Brooks & Dunn will play PPG Paints Arena on their Reboot Arena Tour. They’ll be joined by Scotty McCreery.
Best-known song: “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”
March 24: Blake Shelton
Country star and “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton is hitting the road for the Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, with its second-to-last stop at PPG Paints Arena. The opening acts are Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean.

March 31: Brett Young
Country singer Brett Young brings his 5 Tour 3 2 1 show to Stage AE. He’ll be joined by Morgan Evans and Ashley Cooke.

April 29: Luke Combs
Country star Luke Combs has graduated from arenas to football stadiums, and he will headline Acrisure Stadium, with support from Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Flatland Cavalry and Brent Cobb.

June 10: Hank Williams Jr.
Country legend Hank Williams Jr. heads to the Pavilion at Star Lake with opening act Old Crow Medicine Show.
Best-known song: “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here On Monday Night”
June 14-15: Morgan Wallen
Country star Morgan Wallen brings his One Night at a Time Tour for two shows at PNC Park. He’ll be joined by Hardy, Ernest and Bailey Zimmerman.

June 16-17: Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has roots in country music before making the transition to pop. She’ll bring her Eras Tour to Acrisure Stadium for two sold-out shows, with support from Girl In Red, Gracie Abrams and Owenn.

July 8: Eric Church
Country singer-songwriter Eric Church visits the Pavilion at Star Lake for The Outsiders Revival Tour. Opening the show are Koe Wetzel and Shane Smith & the Saints.
Best-known song: “Smoke a Little Smoke”
July 13: Shania Twain
Pop-country star Shania Twain brings her Queen of Me Tour to the Pavilion at Star Lake, her first show in Pittsburgh since 2018 at PPG Paints Arena.

Aug. 19: Luke Bryan
Country singer — and “American Idol” judge — Luke Bryan brings his “Country on Tour” to the Pavilion at Star Lake. Special guests on the tour include Chayce Beckham, Tyler Braden, Ashley Cooke, Jackson Dean, Jon Langston, Conner Smith, Alana Springsteen, Hailey Whitters and DJ Rock, but no word yet on which will appear at this show.

Sept. 3: Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top
Lynyrd Skynyrd might not technically be a country band, but why split hairs over the quintessential southern rock band? They’re co-headlining the Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour with ZZ Top, with special guest Uncle Kracker at the Pavilion at Star Lake.

Sept. 16: Parker McCollum
Country singer Parker McCollum visits UPMC Events Center along with special guest Jackson Dean.

Nov. 10: The Outlaws
Country rock band The Outlaws, along with the Atlanta Rhythm Section, will play at the Palace Theatre.
Best-known song: “There Goes Another Love Song”
Note: Country singers/bands that are on tour or will be touring this year that won’t be coming to Pittsburgh (yet): Old Dominion, Elle King, Kane Brown, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Thomas Rhett, Walker Hayes, the Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney (he is playing State College and Wilkes-Barre, though).
