Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” is causing quite a stir among fans, according to multiple media sources.

But one particular fan is blowing the whistle after spending $1,400 on tour seats sold by StubHub, only to be told that the tickets didn’t exist, according to reports from NBC Los Angeles.

The trickery began when a California woman named Stefanie Klein purchased the pricey tickets for her daughter to see the tour and bought the in-demand tickets on StubHub. But in a surprising twist, StubHub later reached out to Klein to inform her that the seller she’d purchased from didn’t actually have the tickets, according to reports.

StubHub has a Fan Protection Guarantee, which promises a full refund plus 200% of their ticket purchase price if fans are misled by fake sellers. Due to that policy, Klein was confident she’d get a full refund in no time.

But that wasn’t the case, as Klein went through what seemed like never-ending stress as soon as she found out what happened. Klein repeatedly called the website but received no help to remedy the issue.

As it turns out, the protection guarantee did not protect Klein, according to reports.

“This Fan Protect Guarantee did not protect me,” Klein told NBC Los Angeles. “I was given reason after reason, excuse after excuse after excuse. There’s nothing else I could get from customer service. I couldn’t keep calling. It was actually giving me high blood pressure, I couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t spend my precious time arguing and arguing over and over again.”

When NBC contacted StubHub to investigate the issue, Klein was offered a refund immediately. Right now, it’s unclear how many other fans are struggling with similar issues after they’d been tricked as well.

The moral of the story: Buyer Beware.

As of last week, more concert dates have been added to the tour. The “Eras Tour” kicked off in March in Glendale, Arizona and was initially set to end on Aug. 17, 2024, in London, The Independent reported.
