Reports: Juice WRLD's cardiac arrest was during police search; 70 pounds of pot confiscated

During a search of his and his entourage’s luggage, Juice WRLD suffered convulsions and went into cardiac arrest Sunday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Police and federal agents were looking for guns and drugs at Chicago’s Midway Airport, the outlet reported.

TMZ reports cops confiscated 70 pounds of marijuana from the plane the late Chicago rapper was on.

Police also found six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Juice WRLD, real name Jarad Higgins, “began convulsing” and “going into a seizure” as authorities were going through carts of luggage about 2 a.m. Sunday at the airport, per the Chicago Tribune. According to TMZ, Juice WRLD took several unknown pills before he suffered the medical events.

Juice WRLD died Sunday in Chicago.
