Iris, who played several sold-out concerts at Greensburg’s Palace Theatre to celebrate his 75th birthday last year, and the Cruisers continue to rock on throughout the Pittsburgh region.

His decades of music include a gold record while with the Jaggerz for writing and singing the number one song, “The Rapper,” and a stint with Wild Cherry.

With the Cruisers, Iris and the band released more hits still populating classic radio, including “Agnes,” “Ah! Leah!” and “Do You Compute?”

The Beaver Falls native and resident and band members pioneered the “stacked vocals” style, yielding songs such as “Love is Like a Rock” and “That’s the Way Love Ought to Be.”

Over the years, the band has toured with artists including Journey, Bon Jovi, Ted Nugent and Hall & Oates, continuing to record and play regional clubs and halls.
