Journey and The Pretenders coming to KeyBank Pavilion

Journey and The Pretenders have announced a 60-plus date 2020 North American tour, kicking off May 15 and including a July 11 date at KeyBank Pavilion near Burgettstown.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at livenation.com.

For those who have American Express, they can buy tickets for certain shows through 10 p.m. Nov. 7. Citi and other local presales will start at 10 a.m. Nov. 5. A limited number of LaneOne packages, including seats, transportation and preferred entrance, also will be available.

Fans can expect to hear iconic Journey classics such as “Lights,” “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Open Arms,” “Wheel In The Sky,” “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” and “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which is the top-selling digital catalog track in history.

Since the group’s formation in 1973, Journey has amassed 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold and platinum albums, selling nearly 100 million albums worldwide. Their “Greatest Hits” album is certified 15 times-platinum.

The band’s lineup includes founding member and lead guitarist Neal Schon, co-founding member and bassist Ross Valory, longtime members Jonathan Cain on keyboards and Steve Smith on drums, along with lead singer Arnel Pineda, who joined in 2007. Original vocalist Steve Perry left the band in 1996.

The Pretenders have sold more than 25 million albums. Their 2016 album “Alone” was produced by the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach. Their hits include “I’ll Stand By You,” “Back On The Chain Gang,” “Brass In Pocket,” “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” “2000 Miles,” “My City Was Gone” and “Middle of the Road.”

In 2015, founder and leader Chrissie Hynde released a memoir titled, “Reckless: My Life As a Pretender.”
