Grammy-winning musician Jason Mraz is hitting the road on his “Look For The Good Live!” tour.

Announced Friday, Pittsburgh is the final stop on the schedule which kicks off July 30 at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas.

He’ll perform Aug. 28 at the “Rock, Reggae and Relief” festival, an outdoor music event on Forbes Avenue, Downtown.

Tickets will be available here.

“Finally we’re seeing live music coming back to Downtown and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it,” said Lucas Piatt, of The Piatt Family Foundation, who is founder of the festival, via email. “A stellar music lineup plus a great cause that supports food service and hospitality workers makes this event needed now more than ever.”

Mraz will bring his 13-piece band on the road. The group will perform songs from his latest album, “Look For The Good.” The set list will feature new and classic tunes.

“When we recorded ‘Look For The Good,’ we knew we had created something special, something uplifting, that needed to be performed in front of live audiences,” said Mraz, in a statement. “And then, right before our shows began, the world stopped.”

He said like many artists he and the band created concerts online because of the pandemic.

“No matter how big the digital reach, it doesn’t compare to being in the same room,” he said. “We’ve been patiently waiting for this day: when the curtain goes up in Austin — it will be a celebration of life, with a new appreciation for live music, and in-person connections we’ve all been missing.”

Mraz plans to release new material leading up to the opening concert. He will re-issue the “Look For The Good” album on July 16. It debuted last June and includes appearances by actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish and reggae icon Sister Carol. Profits from “Look For The Good,” will be donated to nonprofit organizations working for equality for people of color, Mraz said.

Other performers taking the stage at the festival include The Wailers, UpRooted featuring Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, and Roots of Creation. The event will benefit the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s Community Takeout program in partnership with 412 Food Rescue.

Over the past year, the Community Takeout Program has provided critical support to local restaurants while also ensuring thousands of meals are reaching food insecure Pittsburghers, said Leah Lizarondo, 412 Food Rescue CEO and co-founder via email.

“We are excited for the Rock, Reggae & Relief event to highlight this work because restaurants are such important spaces for connection and community,” she said. “We are also grateful for partners like the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and The Piatt Family Foundation that are committed to supporting the service industry workers who make those experiences possible.”
