Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder will perform at Jergel’s

Mary Pickels

Don Felder, former lead guitarist with The Eagles, will perform at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille, 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale, in a Jergels & Drusky Entertainment show.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for early entry and 6 p.m. for the general public for the 8 p.m. Feb. 7 show.

A limited number of early entry tickets will be available for $59. General admission tickets will be available for $45 in advance, $48 day of show.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at Eventbrite.com

Felder has a reputation as a rock-and-roll guitar hero, and according to Jergels & Drusky, is building on his legacy as an innovative riff-generating songwriter of the modern rock era while continuing to record and tour.

His most recent album, “American Rock ‘N’ Roll,” released in April, includes high-energy rock numbers as well as more introspective ballads.

It also includes an A-list of guest contributors, including Slash, Sammy Hagar, Peter Frampton, Mick Fleetwood, Joe Satriani, Richie Sambora and Alex Lifeson.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Eagles in 1998, Felder also is a member of the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville and the Florida Artists Hall of Fame.

“I’m blessed enough to have contributed to and been a part of a very talented mixture of voices, writing, guitar parts, and production. I’m very proud of that,” he says of his 27 years with the Eagles in a release.

Since leaving the band in 2001, he has released several solo albums and penned the best-selling memoir “Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles (1974-2001).”

His early career includes a stint teaching guitar to Tom Petty in his native Gainesville, Fla., and learning slide guitar from longtime friend Duane Allman.

Felder’s lead guitar fuels Eagles’ numbers including “Already Gone,” “One of These Nights,” “Take It to the Limit,” and “New Kid in Town.” He also is co-writer of “Victim of Love,” “Those Shoes,” and “Hotel California.”

He’s toured with bands including Foreigner, Styx, Peter Frampton’s Guitar Circus, and REO Speedwagon.
