All is right with the Pittsburgh music world. Donnie Iris & the Cruisers will soon be back live on stage.

The group will perform Oct. 9 at the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks.

WDVE is presenting the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

In 2020, Donnie Iris & the Cruisers celebrated 40 years since the release of their first album. Fans never tire hearing the songs “Ah! Leah!” and “Love Is Like a Rock.” Both were included in the DVE Memorial Day 500, a rock music countdown of the top 50o songs over Memorial Day weekend. “Ah! Leah!” was 164th and “Love Is Like a Rock” came in at 254.

The band has performed with well-known groups such as Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Eddie Money, Ted Nugent and Joan Jett.

With many pandemic restrictions being lifted in June, more venues are welcoming in-person events. The Roxian has announced several upcoming performances, such as City and Colour for Oct. 12, Rod Wave’s “Soulfly Tour” on Sept. 29 and Andrew McMahon’s “The Three Pianos Tour” on Nov. 5. The Chris Lane “Fill Them Boots Tour” will be there in March 2022.

Earlier this month, the theater posted that P.O.D.’s “Satellite 20th Anniversary Tour” is scheduled for Aug. 31, The Black Dahlia Murder is on Oct. 2 and Lettuce on Nov. 11. The Midnight is coming March 16, 2022.
