Dan + Shay to play Pittsburgh on 1st headlining arena tour

Grammy-winning Dan + Shay — Wexford native Dan Smyers and musical partner Shay Mooney — will head out in 2020 on their first headlining arena tour, stopping at PPG Paints Arena in September.

The 35-plus date tour, presented by AEG Presents, kicks off on March 6, 2020, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., and concludes Oct. 31 at Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Wash.

They land in Pittsburgh for a 7 p.m. Sept. 26 show.

“Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour” follows their sold-out “Dan + Shay The Tour” earlier this year. After wrapping their time on Florida Georgia Line’s “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour,” they will join superstar Shawn Mendes later this month on his self-titled tour in Australia.

Their announcement comes days after unveiling a new collaboration with pop superstar Justin Bieber, with their single “10,000 Hours.”

The song has tallied more than 30 million streams globally and ranks number three on Apple Music’s Top 100 global chart and holds the top spot on the iTunes Top Songs chart, according to a release.

Smyers and Mooney co-wrote the song with Bieber alongside Jessie Jo Dillon, Jordan Reynolds and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, the release adds. Smyers is producer of the catchy track.

Fans can expect to hear the duo’s growing catalogue of hits from their most recent album “Dan + Shay,” including “Tequila,” “Speechless,” and “All To Myself.”

The duo are Grammy and ACM award winners for “Tequila.”

Earlier this year, they received CMT Duo Video of the Year for “Speechless” and are included as one of the top country superstars of 2019 to be celebrated at the 10th Annual “CMT Artists of the Year” special, airing 8 p.m. Oct. 16.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Oct. 11.
