Cage the Elephant announced a new album and tour, which includes a stop in Pittsburgh later this year.

The Grammy Award-winning rock band will visit the Pavilion at Star Lake on Aug. 29, with special guests Young The Giant and Bakar.

Their sixth album, “Neon Pill,” is scheduled for a May 17 release, while they unveiled the first single, “Out Loud,” on Thursday.

“Maybe it’s so straightforward and honest, because I didn’t know if it would see the light of day,” singer Matthew Shultz said in a release. “‘Out Loud’ is very connected to my father. My dad’s the reason we discovered music in the first place. When he died, ‘Out Loud’ just poured out of me. My efforts towards the song were deeply rooted in paying honor to him, and I knew it meant a lot to (my brother) Brad too.”

Cage the Elephant won a pair of best rock album Grammys, for 2015’s “Tell Me I’m Pretty” and 2019’s “Social Cues.”

Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 8 at livenation.com, with a variety of presales beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
