Bruce Springsteen adds 2nd show for Pittsburgh fans
The Boss’s trip back to the ’Burgh just got longer.
On Wednesday, LiveNation announced Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have added a second show to their 2023 tour stop in Pittsburgh. They will perform at PPG Paints Arena on Sept. 12 and 14.
Springsteen last performed here in 2016 at PPG Paints Arena.

Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday. Fans looking for tickets were required to register through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, which ended Sunday. Those who did so, will automatically be registered for the added show.
Springsteen’s tour has been selling out quickly across the country. A second show was also added to the band’s San Francisco stop.
“The instant sellout of Chicago’s second Wrigley Field show, and the addition of second shows in Pittsburgh and San Francisco are a testament to the excitement that Bruce and the Band’s intense rock shows are generating wherever they play,” said manager Jon Landau. “They are at the top of their game and this tour is not to be missed.”
Springsteen opened his latest tour earlier this month in Tampa. Until September, the closest the band will get to Western Pennsylvania is a State College concert on March 18 and a Cleveland date on April 5.
In writing about the Tampa opener, the Associated Press said, “At just under three hours, it wasn’t quite one of the marathon performances the 73-year-old Springsteen is best known for. But kicking off with ‘No Surrender’ and finishing with a solo acoustic ‘I’ll See You In My Dreams,’ Springsteen was in fine voice, and his big band matched his energy.”
The band features 19 musicians, including singer Patti Scialfa (Springsteen’s wife), guitarists Stevie Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren, drummer Max Weinberg, bassist Garry Tallent and keyboardist Roy Bittan. Sax player Clarence Clemons died in 2011, but his nephew Jake Clemons performed in his stead.
