Rock star and former Mechanicsburg resident Bret Michaels returned to our area for an induction ceremony from the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame.

Michaels was honored at a private event at The Englewood in Hershey, and posed for photos with staff of the Hall of Fame and rock radio station The River 97.3 FM.

“Congratulations to Bret Michaels on his induction into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame!” read a post from The River’s Facebook page. “Stay tuned for details on his upcoming Party-Gras Festival Tour in 2023 with a stop in Central PA!”

Michaels announced the Party-Gras Tour earlier this week, which so far includes 12 announced tour dates, one of which is in Burgettstown.

“Being born and bred in Pennsylvania, I am proud to be inducted as an individual into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, with Poison also having also been inducted on the first-ever ballot,” Michaels in a press release when the award was initially announced.

Michaels had previously inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame in 2020 along with the other members of the band Poison.
