"Twisted Tech," a photo by Gloria Gonzalez, will be part of the upcoming You Are Here gallery’s second invitational exhibition.

The You Are Here art gallery in Jeannette will hold its second annual invitational next month, with twice as many participants as its first event.

A 6 p.m. Oct. 12 opening reception is planned at the 406 Clay Ave. gallery, and the show will run until Nov. 23, says Mary Briggs, gallery team member.

The juried exhibition will feature 42 regional artists working in a wide variety of media.

“We have all new pieces. There are a few returning artists. Last year, we had to beat the bushes, kind of, for entries. … This year we were overwhelmed with entries,” Briggs says.

“We will show twice as many artists this year. One qualification was that you could not have shown that work within a certain radius of Westmoreland County. As usual, it is a mixed media show. We do have some 3-D pieces, which makes it more interesting,” she adds.

Opening night plans include music and a taco food truck.

She expects that many of the participating artists will attend as well.

“It should be a lot of fun,” Briggs says.

Regular gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
