History is far from boring, but Fort Ligonier plans to make it a bit more entertaining.
The museum will host “Tipsy History” at 7 p.m. March 30 in an event for those age 18 and up.
Guests will be invited to sip on a spirit while immersed in casual conversation with museum professionals, according to a news release.
Those planning to imbibe spirits will need valid identification.
Planners describe “Tipsy History” as a “slightly tamer” version of the popular Comedy Central “Drunk History” sketches.

“This is a most diabolical work, and whiskey must be had,” Quartermaster John St. Clair said to Col. Henry Bouquet in 1758.
This memorable quote about the grueling work of building the Forbes Road across the rugged Pennsylvania frontier will be one of many real-life stories discussed during “Tipsy History.”
“The story goes that soldiers refused to work and move the Forbes’ Campaign forward if they did not receive their ration of whiskey,” says Matt Gault, Fort Ligonier’s assistant director of education.
“There are so many interesting stories to tell about the people who lived at Fort Ligonier in the 1700’s and how they changed world history. Think of this event as a casual, fun evening among friends where you will also learn something new and fascinating,” he adds.
Admission is $20, $10 for college students with ID.
