Compass Inn Museum will hold holiday candlelight tours in December.

Holiday candlelight tours through Laughlintown’s Compass Inn Museum will take visitors back in time.

From 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15, docents in period attire will lead guests through the historic inn.

“These tours focus specifically on the history of Compass Inn, the lives of Robert and Rachel Armor, and the lives of travelers and stagecoach inns during the late 18th and early 19th century,” says Elliot Chimelewski, historical society marketing assistant.

“For this specific tour, Christmas and holiday hospitality will be a theme, including period Christmas storytelling in the main room. Cider and cookies will be included with each tour,” he adds.

Cost is $10 for adults, $9 for those 62 and up and $6 for ages 6-17. Active military receive free admission. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations required for groups of 10 or more. Final tours begin at 6:30 p.m. The museum is at 1386 Lincoln Ave.
