British soldiers fire at Native Americans scattered about the forest during the 255th anniversary of the Battle of Bushy Run at Bushy Run Battlefield in Penn Township. Visitors may encounter spirits in the night during a ghost tour at the site in June.

Bushy Run Battlefield will hold a ghost tour from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. June 1, offering visitors a chance to experience the Penn Township historical site in a new way.

Facility tour guides and a visiting paranormal group will lead the nighttime exploration of the battlefield and try to stir up a ghost or two.

Visitors will learn about events that took place in August 1763, hear some ghost stories and paranormal legends related to the battlefield and see some ghost hunters in action, according to the museum’s website.

Advance reservations are not required.

Flashlights, friends and cameras — cellphone, disposable and digital all are suitable — are suggested.

A tour guide and paranormal group member with “ghost detecting equipment” will accompany each group of visitors, the site adds.

Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under (who must be accompanied by an adult).
