It’s October and for many television anchors, it was a surprise.

During “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday night, the late-night show’s namesake had a segment detailing the shock of many in the TV industry. “We were hit with something no one saw coming. Today (Tuesday), we learned that October is here,” Kimmel said introducing a video.

The montage starts out with KDKA-TV’s Celina Pompeani and David Highfield during an episode of “Pittsburgh Today Live.” The video runs for about a minute and shows 15 newscasts where the anchors all show surpise that the calendar now reads October.

Pompeani is KDKA’s morning traffic anchor in addition to being the Pittsburgh Penguins on-camera host. Highfield is a reporter for the Pittsburgh television station.
