Filmmakers seek Pittsburgh extras for new Jason Momoa film

Do you have the chops to portray Pittsburgh baseball fans, hospital staff, first responders, airplane passengers and the like?

If you are a Pittsburgh region resident, or can convincingly play one, the producers of Jason Momoa’s new Netflix film, “Sweet Girl,” want to see you.

Filming is expected to begin in November, with the “Aquaman” star set to produce and star in the story of “a husband who vows to bring justice to the people responsible for his wife’s death while also protecting his daughter,” according to Variety.

And according to a Movie Casting PGH post, paid extras are needed to lend the locally produced film some Pittsburgh props.

“This is a Pittsburgh for Pittsburgh show. That means Pittsburghers portraying Pittsburghers,” the casting call says.

Applicants are invited to “swing by” the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 26.

No experience is necessary. A photo will be taken and a talent application filled out and, then, well, they will call you. Maybe.

Cast members of all ages and ethnicities are needed, the casting call notes.

Filming will begin mid-November and continue until mid-February.

So stop in and break a leg.
