David Schwimmer will be reading a bedtime story to kids on the BBC channel CBeebies.

David Schwimmer is hoping his talent is enough to put British kids to sleep.

But totally in a good way, of course.

The “Friends” star recorded a segment for the “CBeebies Bedtime Stories” show.

CBeebies is a channel in the United Kingdom designed for kids, kind of like our Nickelodeon or Disney Channel. The final segment of every broadcast day is a bedtime story, done by a guest reader. Notable celebs that have read stories include Chris Evans, Elton John, Dolly Parton and David Hasselhoff.

And now, Ross Geller himself.

In the segment, Schwimmer, 53, reads “The Smeds and the Smoos” by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

According to a description on Amazon, “The Smeds (who are red) never mix with the Smoos (who are blue). So when a young Smed and Smoo fall in love, their families strongly disapprove. But peace is restored and love conquers all in this happiest of love stories. There’s even a gorgeous purple baby to celebrate.”

And from the preview, it looks like a winner.

Unfortunately for American audiences, the show will air only overseas at first — set for 6:50 p.m. (London time) on Feb. 22. However, it’s more than likely the full clip will work its way online someplace.

But don’t lose any sleep over it.
