“Beavis and Butt-Head” originally ran on MTV from 1993-97.

Those lovable pair of teen delinquents from MTV are headed back to the couch.

“Beavis and Butt-Head” will return for two new seasons on Comedy Central.

Emmy-winning creator Mike Judge, who also gave us the long-running animated TV series “King of the Hill” and movies like “Office Space” and “Idiocracy,” will oversee the new episodes, which is said to include spinoffs and specials.

“It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again,” Judge said in a release from Comedy Central.

With a total of 225 episodes, the Gen-X comedy series originally ran from 1993 to 1997, with an eighth season in 2011. There was also a film version, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America,” in 1996.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on Adult Animation at Comedy Central” said Chris McCarthy, Comedy Central’s president of Entertainment & Youth Group. “Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.”

“Beavis and Butt-Head” began as part of MTV’s “Liquid Television” in 1992 and became a series a year later. While undoubtedly a comedy, the series managed to touch on issues important to its core audience: teenagers.

There’s no word on when the series will hit the air.
