You Are Here, a nonprofit art center at 406 Clay Ave., Jeannette, will host “Disconnections,” with an opening reception at 6 p.m. March 9.
The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition is curated by Dan Overdorff and features work by Pati Beachley, Kathleen Dlugos, Samantha Lantz, Carolyn Pierotti, James Schaffer and visiting Seattle-based artist, Chris “The Bag Painter” Crites.
The new show, open through April 20, will explore the term “disconnections,” which can mean becoming isolated, separated or even the act of detaching one thing from another. The show’s objective is to introduce visitors to varying views of “disconnections” through the eyes of six different artists, all of whom are at different points of their creative careers, center officials state.
The center’s regular hours are noon to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
