Comedian, actress Anjelah Johnson to make Pittsburgh stop
Anjelah Johnson has made her comedic mark with bits including “Nail Salon” and the creation of her no-filter, fast-food worker character Bon Qui Qui.
Johnson will bring her “Technically Not Stalking” tour to Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall, 510 E. 10th Ave., Munhall, for an 8 p.m. Sept. 19 show.
The former Oakland Raiderette also has performed in movies including “Our Family Wedding,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks” and “Moms’ Night Out.”
Johnson has been a series regular on “MADtv,” and has released several songs and videos as Bon Qui Qui, including the Christmas EP “Merry Hoodmas.” Her television guest starring roles have included appearances on “The Shield,” “Ugly Betty” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” She also has recorded several Netflix comedy specials.
In 2017, she filmed the special Mahalo & Goodnight in Honolulu, Hawaii, which premiered on the Epix channel and is now available for steaming on Hulu.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with limited Gold Circle seating available for $69 and remaining seating at $49 and $39. Limited VIP, including pre-show meet and greet, will be available. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. May 31.
