If you find the idea of welcoming in the new year by cuddling cats appealing, Greensburg’s Cattfeinated Cat Cafe has a party for you.

With a speakeasy theme, the new cafe, which opened in November at 159 E. Otterman St., will celebrate New Year’s Eve from 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31 to 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1.

Plans include ritzy music, silent movies, a selfie area, games, finger foods, champagne toast and, of course, cats.

Katelynn Jones, who owns the cafe with her husband, Rob Jones, says the theme is a play on words.

“I thought about the Roaring 20s, and the new year is 2020,” she says.

Guests are encouraged to don their best 1920s-era attire.

“If you want to wear your pjs and slippers, that’s fine as well,” Jones says. “We will have board games, you can relax with the cats.”

Vegetarian food options will be available, and the event is BYOB.

Television sets will allow guests to participate in a countdown at midnight and watch the ball drop, Jones adds.

Admission is a $30 donation.
