5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: May 21-23
This is the first weekend under Pennsylvania’s new capacity limits for both indoor and outdoor events so it’s the perfect time to get out of the house. Here are a few ideas.
Another Art Festival in Shadyside
Shadyside - the Art Festival on Walnut Street with Craft Marketplace is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. More than 120 artists will be selling jewelry, paintings, ceramics, glass, wood, apparel, and home décor.
Vendors are selected for the juried show. Attendees are asked to wear a facemask.
Entrances and exits will be monitored for one-way traffic.
Visitors can reserve free time slot here.
The event is hosted by Howard Alan Events, based in Florida.

Reach new heights on South Side
Highline Pittsburgh, a five-building office and warehouse complex on the South Side, will host a pop-up events Friday and Saturday. Sly Fox Brewing is having a happy hour with the Bridge City Brinery food truck from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m., Sly Fox Brewing is teaming with Roll Up Food Truck.
There will be outdoor games.

Pittsburgh Ballet — Open air
The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will perform as part of “Open Air: A Series in Celebration of the Performing Arts,” a series of live, outdoor performances on the lawn at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park.
The two-week festival runs this weekend through May 31. The ballet is one of more than 20 arts organizations who are part of the event. There are performances at 8:15 p.m. Friday, 7:15 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Music makers on North Side
Spring Hill Brewing Co. on the North Side will host Slim Forsythe & the Parklane Drifters from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held outside at 1958 Varley St.
Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair.

Comicon
3 Rivers Comicon, a convention for comic fans and creators, will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday on E. Waterfront Drive in the Waterfront in Homestead. More than 100 artists, writers and creators as well as vendors will be showcasing comic culture.
There will be contests and gaming.
