It’s the weekend. Here are some ways to spend it.

Kenny Chesney

Country music star Kenny Chesney brings his “Here and Now Tour” to Pittsburgh on Saturday. The show starts at 5 p.m. with guests Carly Pearce, Old Dominion and Dan + Shay. Chesney is set to take the stage at 8:50 p.m. at Heinz Field on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

The show was postponed twice because of the pandemic.

Chesney, a four-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, last played in Pittsburgh on June 2, 2018, at Heinz Field.

Tickets are still available, starting at $35.

World Square

“World Square —Welcoming All of Pittsburgh’s Neighbors” is happening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in Market Square, Downtown.

The event is held at the same time as the final weekend of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and will feature art, crafts, music, dance and cuisine from international communities. Items include Greek, Cameroonian and Filipino desserts and Mexican, Turkish, Afghani and Salvadoran food. Art and home goods will showcase Saudi Arabian painting, Venezuelan and African jewelry and crafts alongside Afghani and Asian décor, Venezuelan and Turkish textiles, Mexican Pottery and Italian boutique wear. There will also be live entertainment.

The event is free.

Open air

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s “Open Air: A Series in Celebration of the Performing Arts” will have performances Friday through Sunday at the Allegheny Riverfront along 19th Street in Sharpsburg.

“Open Air” will feature the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Company, along with local performing arts organizations and dance companies. Guests will see excerpts from “Swan Lake,” choreographed by outgoing artistic director Susan Jaffe.

Shows are at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Tickets are $20.

Summer safari

The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in Highland Park will host “Summer Safari: Groovin’ Thru the Zoo” from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The events kicks off the summer season at the zoo with a dance party of tunes through the decades. There will be live music, drinks and food. Attire is cocktail fashionable, jungle-stylish, or dress in your favorite decade. There will be tunes from several eras and opportunities to two-step, twist, hustle, and rock through the zoo.

The event supports the zoo’s animals and worldwide conservation efforts.

Tickets are $90.

Pizza pies

GoodTaste! Pittsburgh’s “PizzaFest – A Slice Of Delish!” is on Sunday at East End Brewing, Co. in Larimer.

Seven Pittsburgh pizza makers will create pies with fresh dough, homemade sauce and a variety of toppings. A guest’s ticket gets them a sample of each pie, and each chef will cook outside on an Ooni pizza oven.

The show will have live entertainment and opportunities to try beers from East End Brewing. Pittsburgh pizza acrobat Matt Hickey will perform. His pizza spinning tricks earned him the world champion title in the Largest Dough Stretching competition at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.

The 4p.m. to 6 p.m. session is sold out. Tickets remain for the 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. session.

Tickets are $35.
