'The Bachelorette' contestant Tyler G. dead at 29
Former “The Bachelorette” contestant Tyler Gwozdz, who appeared on season 15 of the series has died.
He was 29.
Gwozdz competed on the show when Hannah Brown was The Bachelorette.
According to TMZ, Gwozdz died Wednesday.
Boca Raton police said emergency responders rushed Gwozdz from a home to a hospital Jan. 13 after a 911 call reporting a possible overdose.
Gwozdz was admitted into the intensive care unit and was in the hospital for more than a week, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, TMZ reported.
As of Tuesday, he was no longer a patient in the hospital's system.
“The Bachlorette” fans may remember Gwozdz’ unexplained dismissal from the show during season 15. He was removed after competing for three weeks. His time was highlighted by a one-on-one date with Brown. On the show, Brown simply said, “Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him,” according to Entertainment Tonight.
Rumors and speculation floated around as to why Gwozdz left the show, but he denied them all, calling them “baseless,” ET reported.
