Sylvester Stallone trying to unload California vacation home for $3.35M
We’ve all been there.
You live in Los Angeles, and that ostentatious vacation home of yours southeast of the city is just a little too much.
So you decide, “What the heck? I’ll let it go for $3.35 million. So what if that’s more than a million less than I paid for it?”
That’s what Sylvester Stallone is doing with his La Quinta, Calif., home.
“The four-bedroom, five-bath property has the airy, old-world feel of a Mediterranean villa,” according to a report from Parade. “The home features carved wood front doors and ceiling beams, as well as arched entryways, vintage-inspired chandeliers and marble accents in the kitchen.”
The creator and star of the Rocky and Rambo franchises bought the home in 2010 for $4.5 million, and it’s been “on and off the market” since 2011, Dirt.com says.
The property was built in 2008, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times, which includes a photo gallery.
“Highlights include a wine room, a two-story living room under dramatic wood beams and a dining room that opens to a terrace in the back,” writes Jack Flemming of the Times. “It’s one of multiple terraces that overlook the landscaped grounds. Out back, palm trees line a fountain-fed pool and spa, and a patio with a fire pit descends to a grassy lawn and stream.”
It also has an outdoor kitchen and a private courtyard.
It’s listed as 4,889 square feet and is part of the Madison Club, “an exclusive golf course community with a star-studded list of past and present residents including Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, Kylie Jenner, Tom Brady, Phil Knight and Jerry West,” according to the Times.
The Madison Club’s website boasts that it “offers members and their guests Discovery Land Company’s celebrated services and unparalleled recreational amenities. These include a spectacular private Tom Fazio designed golf course, a members-only clubhouse, and a private day spa and fitness facility complete with a recreational and lifestyle wellness team.”
