Eddie Murphy arrives at the 20th annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Eddie Murphy is preparing a return to the stand-up comedy stage and the paycheck is looking pretty sweet.

The comedian dropped out of the comedy scene years ago but is now talking with Netflix about an undisclosed number of comedy special, reports TMZ.

The deal may be worth around $70 million, according to TMZ’s sources.

To put that in perspective, Dave Chappelle landed $60 million for a trio of Netflix stand-up shows in 2017 and Chris Rock was paid $40 million in 2016, TMZ reports.

Murphy stated a desire to return to stand-up while talking with Jerry Seinfeld in an episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”
