Traffic has been reduced to a single lane on Crawford Lane Bridge in Rostraver.
Temporary traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge, on Crawford Lane and Finley Road, to guide traffic over the span that crosses above Interstate 70.
The lane restriction is slated to continue through June as part of work underway to upgrade the Arnold City interchange along the interstate. The project involves construction of a replacement bridge.
The $89 million Arnold City (Exit 41) interchange project includes several traffic closures that also are slated to continue through June:
• I-70 eastbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 41
• Finley Road between Ridge Road and the eastbound I-70 interchange
• Indian Hill Road Bridge over I-70
Detours are in place, with affected interstate traffic redirected to the Route 201 interchange (westbound) or to the Route 51 interchange (eastbound).
Golden Triangle Construction is the prime contractor for the Arnold City interchange project, which extends along I-70 from a point close to 1.4 miles east of the interchange to the interstate bridge over the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad.
The project includes widening the I-70 median and shoulders and constructing a five-leg roundabout to connect the eastbound Exit 41 ramps with Indian Hill and Finley roads.
