Penn Hills travelers will be hitting some traffic starting Friday, Aug. 8, and lasting through early September, weather permitting.

According to PennDOT, milling and paving operations will take place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Hulton Road, Hamil Road between Saltsburg and Indiana roads, and Hamil Road between Hunter and Hamil roads.

Motorists can expect single-lane alternating traffic on these roads, and everyone is asked to use caution in the work zones.

The work, part of a $8.62 million group paving project, is being conducted by prime contractor A. Folino Construction.

The improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base repair, pavement marking installation and other construction-related activities.
