Two people were injured in a shooting Saturday evening in the Monroeville retail corridor.

Monroeville police were notified of the shooting at 6:49 p.m. in the 4000 block of William Penn Highway, near Miracle Mile Shopping Center. The Allegheny County Police Department responded as well.

At the scene, first responders found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

First responders also found a woman at the scene. She was treated for minor lacerations at an area hospital.

Preliminary information shows that a white Ford F-150 truck entered the parking lot and someone in the vehicle began shooting at the man, the Allegheny County Police Department said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
