The forecast for bad weather this weekend has prompted PennDOT to cancel closing Rodi Road this weekend.

Rodi Road, also known as Route 791, was supposed to be closed between Maple Lane and Business Route 22 (William Penn Highway) starting Friday night through Monday morning.

The closure also was supposed to create a closure of the eastbound I-376 ramp to Penn Hills/Rodi Road (Exit 81) and closure of the Penn Hills on-ramp to eastbound I-376.

That work also has been put on hold.

PennDOT did not say when the work will resume. It said additional details will be released when it does.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $70.1 million I-376 Parkway East Betterment Project.

The improvements on the 4.5 miles of the Parkway East between the Churchill/Route 130 (Exit 79B) and Monroeville/Route 48 (Exit 84A) exit are expected to conclude in fall 2026. Swank Construction Co. is the prime contractor.
