The first change to the Pittsburgh Steelers coaching staff was revealed Friday when linebackers coach Aaron Curry left the organization to join the New York Jets.
NFL Network was first to report the switch in teams for Curry.
Curry spent two seasons with the Steelers and six as an assistant in the NFL. His first four were with the Seattle Seahawks.
With the Jets, he joins new head coach Aaron Glenn and defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
Curry oversaw a position group that had multiple injuries in 2023 when seven players started. The Steelers had more stability at inside linebacker in 2024 with Patrick Queen playing every snap at one spot, with Elandon Roberts and rookie Payton Wilson splitting the starts at the other spot.
Curry, 38, was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 draft.
