An Italian restaurant in Indiana Township was issued multiple health code violations by the Allegheny County Health Department.

Roma Italian Restaurant, located along Indianola Road, was issued 15 violations during an inspection Dec. 18, according to a report from the Health Department.

The restaurant could not be reached Tuesday morning.

Violations included an employee adding toppings to a hoagie without gloves on and inadequate cleaning and sanitation efforts, according to the report.

The restaurant also was cited for holding food items past the packaging date, uncovered food left inside the “true reach-in freezer” and food boxes left on the floor.

The Health Department will reinspect the restaurant Jan. 8.

The full report is available on the Health Department’s website.
