Shaler Area School Board leadership will remain the same in 2023.

April Kwiatkowski and James Tunstall were reappointed as board president and vice president, respectively, at the board’s reorganization meeting Dec. 7.

Kwiatkowski has been on the board for nine years. She served as vice president for three years and president for five during that time.

“I am honored to be selected by my fellow school board members to continue to serve as the president of the school board,” Kwiatkowski said. “I take this responsibility seriously and desire to work collaboratively with the school board and the administration for the benefit of all students in the Shaler Area School District. We are proud of the work that we’ve accomplished in the district and excited for all that is to come.”

Tunstall has been on the board for seven years. He served as president for two years and vice president for about 4 years during that time.

“I am excited to continue to serve in a leadership role on the school board,” he said. “We will continue to work collaboratively with the board and administration on behalf of the students of the Shaler Area School District.”

More information about the board and its future meetings is available on the district’s website, sasd.k12.pa.us/SchoolBoard.
