The Wilkins Elks, along with the Wilkins Township Police, will be hosting its sixth Annual Drug Take Back Day over the weekend.

Turn in unused, unwanted drugs for safe disposal by bringing the bottles to the lodge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.on Oct 23 to drop in a secure Take Back Box. The Wilkins Elks is located at 718 Brown Ave., Turtle Creek.

The Drug Take Back Day is sponsored by the Elk’s Drug Awareness Program, chaired by Debbie Raible. She has been working with Chief Randy Lamb of the Wilkins Township Police to organize the event for safe disposal of drugs of any kind, including pet medication. No needles, please. There’s no need to remove the pills from bottles or strip off labels. The Wilkins police will take all drugs to the Drug Enforcement Agency for proper disposal.

All CDC guidelines will be followed, masks should be worn when entering the building for drop.
