Sewickley Public Library’s StoryWalk is back this fall.
The library and its community partners invite the residents to visit one of the five fall Sewickley StoryWalk locations this September. These self-guided walking tours pair books with nature by placing storybooks along a walking path for all to enjoy.
The upcoming Sewickley StoryWalk session features picture book stories that welcome fall.
Visitors to Mary Roberts Rinehart Nature Park can read “In the Middle of Fall” by Kevin Henkes, while Ohio Township Nature Center visitors can enjoy the book “The Little Yellow Leaf” by Carin Berger.
Allegheny Land Trust — Audubon Greenway’s location features “Full of Fall” by April Sayre.
At Fern Hollow Nature Center, enjoy the story “The Scarecrow” by Beth Ferry.
And, visitors to the Henle Park location can read “The Busy Little Squirrel” by Nancy Tafuri during their stroll.
Visitors are encouraged to pick up a Sewickley StoryWalk passport during their visit. When they fill out the information at each of the StoryWalk stops, they can return the passport to the library to be entered to win a special prize.
The fall Sewickley StoryWalk runs from Sept. 24- Oct. 17. All participants are encouraged to follow state and local guidelines regarding safety, including wearing masks and social distancing as required during their visit.
