A new Chase Bank is under construction in Bethel Park.

The site is in the 5000 block of Library Road near Walmart.

A. Martini & Co. of Verona is the general contractor.

“We’re excited about Chase Bank coming to the community,” said Laurence Christian, Bethel Park municipal manager. “We always welcome new business and are happy for them to join us in Bethel Park.”

Chase spokesman Justin Page said June 29 that planning for the new location took a few years. Construction began in early May.

The 3,720 square-foot facility will be a full-service bank with about 10 employees. It’s expected to open in the fall.

“We’re excited to be able to open that at the end of this year,” Page said. “We really want to be where people live, work and shop. Library Road is just so busy and so much activity out there. That’s one of the main reasons that we are there.”

The plan is to have 21 branches open in the Pittsburgh area by the end of this year, Page said.

Calls to A. Martini & Co. were not returned.
